The goal of this project is to investigate the existing noise emission condition of domestic construction equipment and the establishment of data base for the equipment, so as to draft guidelines for identifying the low noise equipment. By referring to the relevant sound power level measurements of ISO standard code, about 10 types of frequently used domestic construction equipment, such as bulldozers, have been completed in this project. Data base has been established for a total of 150 construction equipment’s measurements and 1,046 pieces of record for noise levels. Accordingly, suggestions have been made for identifying low noise equipments and noise limit for the periodical publication, including bulldozer 116dB(A)、excavator110 dB(A)、travel shovel 113 dB(A)、roller 109 dB(A)、power generator 105 dB(A)、compressor 102 dB(A). At present, the drafted guidelines for identifying low noise equipments covers 3 chapters and 16 articles.
